LAREDO, Texas, June 23 (Del Rio Online) — U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers seized 1,100.79 pounds of suspected methamphetamine from a commercial truck at Laredo’s World Trade Bridge, saying the drugs had an estimated street value of $10,122,012.

CBP said a port officer referred a 2013 D-13 Volvo hauling a shipment manifested as “polypropylene” for additional screening on June 15. A canine inspection and a nonintrusive inspection system examination led officers to the drugs, the agency said.

CBP seized the narcotics, and Homeland Security Investigations special agents are investigating.
