WASHINGTON, July 12 (DC Times Online) — Democratic strategist James Carville lashed out at far-left Democrats in a Friday Politicon video, saying their approach could push the party toward another 2016-style defeat and adding, ‘You are part of the problem because you’re a f—ing idiot!’

Carville said Democrats should not ‘fall for the allure of false prophets’ and argued that the party should not repeat the mistakes that he says helped open the door to Donald Trump’s election in 2016.

He singled out Michigan candidate Abdul El-Sayed and pointed to recent Democratic primary wins in New York and Colorado by Brad Lander, Darializa Avila Chevalier and Melat Kiros as examples of the party’s left wing.

‘These people are so f—ing stupid I don’t know what to say about it,’ Carville said. ‘It’s not both parties’ faults!’

Carville framed the dispute as a fight over how Democrats win elections, saying the party’s problem is not that voters are rejecting both sides equally, but that some Democrats are embracing ideas he считает politically damaging.
