Adelanto, California (Times Media Service) – Drawing inspiration from, and in support of, the convoy of truckers in Ottawa Canada, a large group of American truckers are now doing the same. Adelanto has now played host to the beginning of a cross-county drive to Washington DC, starting in the small Californian town in the Victor Valley located about 100 miles from Los Angeles.

The dozens of 18-wheel trucks, pickup trucks and recreational vehicles are gathered in the parking lot of a former Adelanto baseball stadium with hundreds of supporters in attendance.

“With the advent of the vaccine and workable therapeutic agents, along the hard work of so many sectors that contributed to the declining COVID-19 cases and severity of illness, it is now time to re-open the country… The average American Worker needs to be able to end-run the economic hardships of the last two years, and get back to the business of making bread – so they can pay their rents and mortgages and help jumpstart this economy. To that end, it’s time for elected officials to work with the blue collar and white-collar workers of America and restore accountability and liberty – by lifting all mandates and ending the state of emergency – as COVID is well-in-hand now, and Americans need to get back to work in a free and unrestricted manner.” – Statement from the People’s Convoy 2-21-2022.

This 11-day journey starts in Adelanto, CA. From there, the convoy will travel through Kingman, AZ to Lupton, AZ to Glenrio, TX to Elk City, OK to Vinita, OK to Sullivan, MO to Indianapolis, IN to Cambridge, OH to Hagerstown, MD and Arrive in the DC Beltway area Sunday, March 5.

The promoters and many of the tagalongs are planning to video the trip as they move across the country.

The Pentagon said that it had approved 400 National Guard troops to help with traffic during the DC rally on Saturday through March 7th.
