SANTA CLARA, Calif., June 27 (San Francisco News Online) — NVIDIA on June 22 announced NVIDIA Halos for Robotics, a system the company says unifies AI compute, safety software, sensor data and inspection for physical AI and humanoid robots.

The company described the platform as a standardized safety architecture that links NVIDIA IGX Thor for AI compute and sensor connectivity, NVIDIA Halos OS for software safety functions, and the NVIDIA Halos AI Systems Inspection Lab for inspection and certification support.

NVIDIA said the system builds on more than 18,600 engineering years of autonomous vehicle safety work. In its announcement, the company also said the inspection lab is the world’s first ANAB-accredited program for functional and AI safety for physical AI.

According to NVIDIA, the inspection lab is meant to help partners prepare for third-party certification by organizations including TÜV Rheinland, UL Solutions, TÜV SÜD, exida, SGS and CertX.
